This two- or 2.5-day course builds on the concepts of Decision Quality (DQ) and the Dialogue Decision Process, with a focus on the role of the decision leader. Decision Leadership can dramatically improve decision quality and speed when the stakes are high and organizational alignment is difficult.
On-site Programs & Coaching
SDG’s live-virtual and on-site programs can be customized to your organization’s needs, facilities, and schedule. Our varied curriculum includes executive briefings, training modules, online learning, and pilot decision projects.
Public Courses
Executive Education offers a variety of public courses and workshops designed to build individual capabilities in decision quality, SDG’s decision-making methodology.
Course Topics
The course is designed for those who frequently lead decision-making or aspire to lead decision processes in their organization.
The course teaches the five essentials of decision leadership:
See the destination-a high-quality decision
Diagnose a decision situation
Choose an effective and efficient decision process
Lead the decision process, including facilitating decision teams
Assess the level of quality achieved
This is a highly interactive course, where participants learn by doing. Participants work in teams on a simulated complex case exercise, and experienced decision consultants coach the teams and lead discussions of how the tools and techniques learned can be applied on the job. Participants gain insight into their own decision leadership capabilities and areas for potential improvement through in-class exercises and feedback from coaches.
