For over 10 years, the Stanford Center for Professional Development partnered with Strategic Decisions Group to offer the Stanford Strategic Decision and Risk Management certificate program. As of August 31, 2017, the Stanford program came to an end; the certificate program, however, is being picked up by new universities. Stanford Professor Ronald Howard, who first established the field of decision analysis, continues to serve as academic chair to SDRM programs throughout the United States.

Since the first SDRM program launched at Stanford in 2006, more than 9,000 professionals from across the world attended courses, and 1,700 completed the six courses necessary to earn a certificate. Now the certificate program is available from Wharton Executive Education at the University of Pennsylvania and from Texas Executive Education at The University of Texas at Austin.
