Ritske van der Meer


Ritske van der Meer has 15 years of experience in life sciences, technology, manufacturing, and energy. He specializes in decision analysis as applied to R&D and product portfolios and in strategy development for new and existing businesses and assets. Highly experienced in decision framing and creating robust solutions to complex problems, he has led teams in global companies in the biopharmaceutical, semiconductor, energy, and manufacturing sectors. He is affiliated with the firm’s Düsseldorf office and has served clients across Europe and US.

Prior to joining SDG in 2012, van der Meer was a senior decision support analyst with ASML in the Netherlands and a quantitative research analyst with DAF Trucks Eindhoven. He began his career with the Ministry of Economic Affairs as a renewable energy subsidy program manager.

Van der Meer holds an MS in econometrics from the Tilburg School of Economics, an MS in innovation sciences from Eindhoven University of Technology, and a BS in aeronautical engineering from Haarlem University, which today is part of Delft University of Technology. He is founder and secretary of the European Decision Professional Network Foundation, a growing professional community in Europe, where he co-organizes events and conferences for practitioners of decision analysis.
