Hannah Winter
DIRECTOR
Hannah Winter is a member of the board of directors of Strategic Decisions Group. She initially joined the firm in 1992, holding a number of roles. Winter led SDG’s Executive Education Program and oversaw SDG’s relationships with university partners offering the Strategic Decision and Risk Management (SDRM) certificate program for mid-career professionals. The certificate, first offered at Stanford University in 2006, is now offered at The University of Texas, Austin. Under her guidance, the certificate executive education program has grown to thousands of participants and 1,300 graduates, and dozens of corporations have brought SDRM courses in-house to train decision-makers and decision support teams.
Winter is coauthor of the 2016 book Decision Quality: Value Creation from Better Business Decisions, with Carl Spetzler and Jennifer Meyer.
Winter previously served as a consulting partner, developing business and marketing strategies for organizations across a variety of sectors including automotive, consumer electronics, communications, and energy. As the human resources officer for the firm, she was responsible for training and professional development of the consulting staff and for managing the partner election process. Prior to joining SDG, Winter was a software developer.
Winter received an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and an MS and a BS in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
